Welcome to Nature of Experience
Hi, I’m Eric Haney, and I’m thrilled you’ve found your way here. This space is dedicated to exploring something beautifully simple yet profoundly life-changing: the understanding that we don’t just “live in the world”—we live in a magnificent rendering of it.
For most of my life, I was caught up in the idea that I needed to fix the “scenery” of my life to feel okay. I thought if I could just get the right job, the right bank account, or the right thoughts, I’d finally find peace. Maybe you can relate?
But eventually, I realized I’d been looking at the wrong end of the projector.
I stumbled upon a perspective that turned everything I knew on its head. I discovered that we are all born with a built-in Virtual Reality system—an inner world-builder designed to take the raw vibrations of life and weave them into the colors, sounds, and emotions we call “reality.”
That realization changed everything. I saw that my stress wasn’t coming from my busy schedule or tricky relationships; it was being created by my internal “headset” in that moment. And just like the weather, those renderings are always shifting.
Life became lighter, less stressful, and much more fun—not because I mastered positive thinking or perfected my circumstances, but because I stopped trying to fix the movie and started understanding the hardware.
On this Substack, I share insights, stories, and reflections to help you see this for yourself. There are no techniques to practice, no high-tech strategies to memorize, and no life-hacks to perfect. This isn’t about becoming “better” or “fixing” your mind. Instead, it’s about understanding your natural design so you can uncover the unshakable well-being that’s already the default setting of your system.
Whether you’re new to this concept or already curious, my goal is to keep it simple, relatable, and maybe even a little playful. Because once you understand how the rendering works, life doesn’t have to be so serious, right?
So, if you’ve ever felt like peace or clarity was just out of reach—or if you’re tired of overthinking, overdoing, or fighting the shadows on the screen—let’s explore together. What if everything you’ve been searching for has been here all along, built right into the design?
Subscribe to join me on this journey. I can’t wait to share this conversation with you—it might just change the way you see everything.
With clarity and care,
Eric Haney
