“I need closure.”
That’s the story we’re told.
That the pain sticks around because something’s unresolved.
That if we could just get the missing piece—an explanation, an apology, a reason—then we’d finally be okay.
But that’s upside-down.
You don’t feel stuck because of what happened.
You feel stuck because of what you think needs to happen next.
Closure is just another version of “I’ll be free when…”
When they explain.
When you understand.
When the story ends the way it should’ve.
But peace doesn’t come from a perfect ending.
It comes from realizing your wholeness was never dependent on one.
Here’s today’s Upside-Down Wisdom:
You don’t need closure. You need to stop outsourcing your peace to unfinished stories.
This is Upside-Down Wisdom—a series where we flip the script on the conventional "wisdom" we've been taught.
