“I’m not good enough.”
It rarely shows up loud.
It’s more of a background hum.
A quiet narrator that chimes in just as you’re about to speak up, try something new, or enjoy a moment of peace.
“Sure, but not yet.”
“You still need to fix a few things.”
“Don’t get too comfortable.”
It poses as humility.
As motivation.
As honesty.
But here’s the thing:
That’s upside-down.
Because good enough isn’t a benchmark you reach when you finally do everything right.
It’s not a status you unlock after enough self-improvement podcasts.
It’s a misunderstanding.
One thought.
One mood.
One glitch in the system.
And when your mind shifts, the feeling goes with it.
You don’t need more confidence.
You don’t need a certificate in worthiness.
You just need to notice that voice in your head is not the authority it pretends to be.
You’re not failing.
You’re just human.
And your enoughness was never up for debate.
Here’s today’s Upside-Down Wisdom:
You’re not “not good enough”—you’re just listening to a thought that forgot who it’s talking to.
This is Upside-Down Wisdom—a series where we flip the script on the conventional "wisdom" we've been taught. If you would like to read other posts in this series, please visit the Upside-Down Wisdom page.
