Before We Fix the World, We Need to See This
A simple misunderstanding may be the root of our deepest problems—and the key to real change
What if it’s all just one big misunderstanding?
What if all the chaos and confusion we’re seeing in the world—the mental health crisis, political division, gun violence, climate change, war—isn’t happening because we’re broken, but because we’re confused?
What if there’s a simple misunderstanding at the root of it all?
One we all share.
Just like germ theory changed medicine forever, I believe there’s an equally powerful realization waiting to transform how we understand mental health—and, by extension, how we treat each other, how we solve problems, and how we live in the world.
It’s not a new strategy.
It’s not a mindset technique.
It’s not about fixing yourself.
And it’s definitely not about fixing other people.
It’s about seeing something that’s been true all along—but mostly invisible.
Something quietly shaping everything we think, feel, and do.
Until we clear up this misunderstanding—this one, quiet, fundamental confusion about where our experience is actually coming from, and who’s creating it—we’ll keep chasing our tails.
We can protest, legislate, invent, organize, and campaign all we want… but none of it will solve the world’s problems until we understand what the actual problem is—and where it’s really coming from.
More on that soon.
In the meantime, I’d love to hear what this stirs up for you.
